Sharing Depot Grand Opening: Wednesday

The Tool Library is proud to announce their opening party for The Sharing Depot, Canada’s 1st Library of Things. Located at 1803 Danforth, the Sharing Depot will expand the tool sharing program and include camping and sports equipment, house party supplies, board games and toys for 2-7 day loans. They’ll also have an expanded Makerspace downstairs to host better workshops and events for the community. Woo hoo!
Come out to the grand opening party this Wednesday, April 27 to help them celebrate this exciting achievement!

DECA Volunteer Party: Thursday

Have you hung DECA posters? Penned a blog post? Helped get a Pop-up Shop on its feet? If you’ve ever volunteered for DECA, then we want to see YOU this Thursday at our Volunteer Appreciation Night! DECA is totally volunteer run and only as strong as our amazing volunteers. We want to say thanks with some nibbles and a drink on us.

Kai Kids Trunk Show

1. Kai Kids Fall Trunk Show – Saturday, October 17 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. @ 1390 Danforth Ave (East of Greenwood)

Join Toronto e-boutique Kai Kids for their upcoming sale of ethically-made, eco-friendly gear for families! They’ll be bringing all of their stock of planet-friendly and non-toxic skincare, toys, clothes, bedding and litterless lunch products for kids 0-4 and pregnant and nursing moms too!

There will also be a special information session on Designing Healthy Rooms for Healthy Kids, by Toronto interior decorator and eco-designer Barbara Nyke of NIKKA DESIGN. Barbara is an accredited interior decorator who specializes in eco-friendly design, and has spoken widely on the topic on Breakfast Television and Canada AM, in the National Post and Loulou Magazine.

Come on out and check out Kai Kids’ new products, take advantage of sale prices, and meet other green-minded parents. Feel free to bring strollers and kids, as the store is stroller-friendly, has a couch for nursing, and they always have lots of puzzles, colouring books and toys to keep your little ones occupied while you shop!


2. Sarah’s Cafe and Bar Wine Tasting – Wednesday, Oct. 21 – 7 p.m. – 1426 Danforth Ave @ Monarch Park

Join sommelier, Sheila Nolan-Ozses for a structured wine tasting at Sarah’s.  Your evening includes six half glasses of wine – each paired with a a creative hors h’oeurve.  The cost is $50 per person and reservations are required at
